Ice cream and desserts in Horizon West: Hamlin and The Mark

Dessert in Horizon West is almost all in Hamlin: five of the six places on this list are on New Independence Parkway or Hamlin Groves Trail, within a short walk of each other. The sixth, an Italian ice shop, is at The Mark on Miley Drive off Seidel Road.

How we made this list. Horizon West is unincorporated, so it has no city limits. We used the U.S. Census Bureau’s boundary for the Horizon West census-designated place and kept only places inside it. Our starting points were OpenStreetMap, the data behind our local directory, Hamlin’s own business map and the state’s restaurant license records; we then checked each place against its own website on Oct. 9, 2026. Abbott’s Frozen Custard in Hamlin and a second Jeremiah’s on Old Brick Road no longer appear on their chains’ location lists, so they are not here. The list is alphabetical. Crumbl (Hamlin) is a cookie and dessert shop at the same address as Maple Street Biscuit Company. Its page describes a weekly rotating menu, from chocolate chip cookies to mini pies and cakes, with delivery, in-store pickup and catering.

The French Cafe in Hamlin bakes French pastries and cakes, from croissants to eclairs, and makes custom cakes to order. It is open until 10 p.m. every day.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice (Horizon West) at The Mark serves Italian ice, soft ice cream and gelati. Its page lists noon to 11 p.m. every day.

Mayday Ice Cream in Hamlin is one of the Florida scoop shop chain’s 19 stores. Its site describes artisan ice cream in a rotating list of flavors, some dairy-free, and ships pints across the continental U.S.

Paris Baguette in Hamlin is a bakery cafe that sells its own cakes, pastries and breads alongside coffee drinks, with dine-in, delivery and catering.

PopStroke Hamlin is a mini golf course with an open-air restaurant and an ice cream parlor. Its page points dessert fans to its milkshakes.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice lists noon to 11 p.m. every day, and Mayday Ice Cream lists 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 p.m. the rest of the week. Crumbl and The French Cafe close at 10 p.m.
