Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants in Horizon West

Mexican and Tex-Mex food in Horizon West is in two places. Hamlin, the town center on Hamlin Groves Trail and Shoreside Way, has a sit-down Mexican kitchen and tequila bar, a Tex-Mex counter and a Taco Bell. The shops around Lakeside Village on Winter Garden Vineland Road and Old Brick Road have a family Mexican restaurant, a Chipotle and a second Taco Bell.

How we made this list. Horizon West is unincorporated, so it has no city limits. We used the U.S. Census Bureau’s boundary for the Horizon West census-designated place and kept only places inside it. Our starting points were OpenStreetMap, the data behind our local directory, Hamlin’s own business map and the state’s restaurant license records; we then checked each place against its own website on Oct. 9, 2026. A Tijuana Flats that OpenStreetMap shows on Old Brick Road no longer appears on the chain’s location list, so it is not here. Flamingo Crossings Town Center is inside the City of Bay Lake, so its restaurants are not here either. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Agave Bandido in Hamlin describes itself as a Mexican kitchen and tequila bar for lunch, happy hour, dinner and late nights. Tacos, taco platters, homemade guacamole and empanadas are on its menu, with Taco Tuesday every week and happy hour 3 to 6 p.m. on weekdays. A tiki bar, Maya SpeakTiki, is hidden inside, and tables can be booked online.

Chipotle Mexican Grill on Old Brick Road is the burrito and bowl chain’s Westside Shoppes store. Its page lists online ordering, delivery and catering.

San Jose’s Original Mexican Restaurant in Lakeside Village Center is one of several San Jose’s restaurants in Central Florida. Its site says the dishes come from recipes passed down through the owners’ family, made with fresh ingredients.

Taco Bell (Hamlin Groves Trail) is on Hamlin Groves Trail in Hamlin. Its page lists separate hours for the dining room and the drive-thru, which stays open well after midnight.

Taco Bell (Winter Garden Vineland Road) shares an address with Pizza Hut near Lakeside Village Center. The dining room closes at 10 p.m., and the drive-thru runs to 3 a.m. every night.

Tijuana Flats in Hamlin is a Tex-Mex counter restaurant. Its page lists burritos, tacos in hard corn or soft flour shells and quesadillas, each served with tortilla chips, and online ordering with delivery.
